Job summary

Stefanini, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician in Ashburn, VA for an onsite contract role. The position covers Tier 1-2 software and hardware support within a data center environment, requiring strong hands-on skills with servers, storage, network and cabling.

You will troubleshoot, install and relocate equipment, while maintaining essential documentation and collaborating with teams. The role includes after-hours on-call and weekend work, with a focus on incident and problem management

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise data center or colocation environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of server, storage, network, rack, power and cabling.
• Rack-and-stack, installation, replacement, troubleshooting and relocation.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber cabling standards.
• Experience with DCIM, asset or inventory management platforms.
• Understanding of data center power, cooling and redundancy.
• Experience with incident/change/problem management processes.
• Ability to read rack elevations and technical docs.
• Ability to coordinate vendors and technical teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and 2 software and hardware support to customers.
• Troubleshoot and restore routine technical service issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and create checklists for problems.
• Maintain knowledge and call tracking databases for resolutions.
• Work in a team, sharing information and assisting others with calls.
