Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join our on-site construction management team. You will work daily with construction managers and stakeholders, coordinating vendors, RFIs, and schedules to deliver high‑quality data center builds.

You’ll help maintain dashboards, manage documentation, safety and quality checklists, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery while collaborating with Operations, Networking, Controls, and Security to support AWS customers.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating construction projects and stakeholders.
• Strong documentation and RFI/change order management.

Responsibilities

• Leading cross-functional communication between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Developing and maintaining tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders, with dashboards for leadership.
• Evaluating Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness and risk.
• Managing vendor onboarding processes, including security credentialing and orientation programs.
• Maintaining current project management software with milestone updates, correspondence records, and document control.
• Coordinating owner-furnished material deliveries to sites to ensure timely arrival.
• Establishing and managing a centralized repository for contractor-supplied construction data.
• Overseeing quality assurance programs with checklists for substantial completion, safety protocols, and quality control.
