Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer in Ohio to join the onsite construction management team. You will coordinate with general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of data center construction.

You will manage documentation, RFIs, change orders, and vendor onboarding while supporting safety and quality programs. This role emphasizes collaboration, rigorous tracking, and on-site problem solving.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years in a data center or critical environment.
• 5+ years in data center engineering or operations.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in vendor management and data center environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional communication between regional GCs, stakeholders and internal teams.
• Develop tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs and change orders.
• Evaluate MOP submissions for thoroughness, necessity and risk.
• Manage vendor onboarding including security credentialing and orientation.
• Maintain project management software with milestones and document control.
• Coordinate delivery of owner-furnished materials to sites.
• Establish a centralized repository for contractor data.
• Oversee QA programs with checklists and safety/quality controls.
