Experis Technology Group is seeking a Systems Design Engineer - Data Center / GPU Platforms for an onsite role in Austin, TX. The engineer will debug hardware and firmware issues on CPU/GPU server platforms and collaborate with multiple teams across OEMs and vendors.

The role requires strong Linux CLI, scripting, and root-cause analysis skills, with JIRA experience and willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center/server lab environments.
• Strong root-cause analysis and troubleshooting across hardware/firmware.
• Proficiency with Linux command-line tools, scripting, log analysis.
• Familiarity with JIRA and basic scripting using Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Debug hardware, firmware, BIOS, BMC/IPMI, GPU, and OS issues on CPU/GPU server platforms.
• Manage and prioritize support requests through JIRA with timely updates.
• Install, replace, and cable server hardware components including GPUs, DIMMs, PSUs, and risers.
• Monitor lab and data center environments for power, network, cooling, and operational issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, OEMs, ODMs, and vendors to resolve platform-related challenges.
