Job summary

Sunrise Systems, Inc. is looking for an on-site Systems Design Engineer to join the Data Center Platform Engineering Group (DPEG) in Austin. You will tackle complex hardware and software issues in the lab and data center, following JIRA tickets, performing debugging, and root-causing problems.

You will monitor lab operations, install/replace hardware, and debug firmware and OS issues related to GPUs. Some overtime and travel between labs are required, with strong communication to partners and

Qualifications

• Experience in data center environments with complex systems.
• Hands-on hardware and software fault diagnosis in lab/data center.
• Ability to communicate clearly in tickets and with partners.

Responsibilities

• Work issues through a JIRA ticket to resolution.
• Debug platforms/systems and elevate priority items.
• Explain current state of issues clearly in tickets.
• Take direction from leadership based on business priorities.
• Collaborate with vendors, ODMs, and OEMs to resolve issues.
• Drive continuous improvement within the organization.
• Possess self-driven expertise in debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Understand details and apply them to tickets quickly.
• Maintain strong communication and teamwork.
• Proven track record in Data Center environments.
