Job summary

AMD is seeking a Lead Systems Debug Engineer in Austin, TX to provide technical leadership for system bring-up, validation, and debug of next-generation data-center GPU platforms. You will drive platform readiness across hardware, firmware, software, networking, power, and SoC subsystems while leading root-cause analysis and resolution efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; minimum 8 years in system-level or SoC debug, validation, triage.
Experience in SoC or system-level debug and validation.
Strong knowledge of GPU architecture and platform components.

Responsibilities

Lead system bring-up, validation, and debug activities for datacenter GPU platforms.
Drive root-cause analysis and resolution of complex hardware, firmware, and software issues.
Develop validation plans, debug processes, and technical documentation.
Perform hands-on board-level analysis, including power, electrical, and system validation.
Collaborate with architecture, software, firmware, and hardware teams to ensure platform readiness.
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership while fostering collaboration and operational excellence.
