Job summary

AMD is seeking a Lead Systems Debug Engineer in Austin, TX to provide technical leadership for system bring-up, validation, and debug of next-generation data-center GPU platforms. You will drive platform readiness across hardware, firmware, software, networking, power, and SoC subsystems while leading root-cause analysis and resolution efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; minimum 8 years in system-level or SoC debug, validation, triage.
  • Experience in SoC or system-level debug and validation.
  • Strong knowledge of GPU architecture and platform components.

Responsibilities

  • Lead system bring-up, validation, and debug activities for datacenter GPU platforms.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and resolution of complex hardware, firmware, and software issues.
  • Develop validation plans, debug processes, and technical documentation.
  • Perform hands-on board-level analysis, including power, electrical, and system validation.
  • Collaborate with architecture, software, firmware, and hardware teams to ensure platform readiness.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership while fostering collaboration and operational excellence.
