Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to join our on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. You will craft RMF A&A packages, execute continuous monitoring tasks, and conduct system testing to secure cutting-edge systems.

This role anticipates funding in December 2026 and requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Two years of program-specific security engineering experience or five years of general experience are required, with DoD 8570.01 IAT II/III certification

Qualifications

• Two (2) years program specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical systems or five (5) years general security engineering experience.
• Two (2) of the five (5) years on Combat Weapons Systems (Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt) or other Navy afloat systems; DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II/III certification when acting as ISSO/ISSE.
• Understanding of computer security, DoD policies, and ability to communicate clearly in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD cybersecurity artifacts and documentation.
• Document systems from a cybersecurity perspective using Office tools.
• Lead ISSO responsibilities for information systems as required.
• Perform vulnerability tests using ACAS and other IA tools.
• Plan and document risk assessments against known vulnerabilities.
• Research and recommend cybersecurity solutions for certification and accreditation.
