Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in a 100% on-site role at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. You will craft RMF A&A packages, perform continuous monitoring tasks, and conduct system testing to secure advanced systems.

The position requires an ACTIVE Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and DoD cybersecurity experience. The candidate should hold IAT Level II/III certs and have strong communication skills for written and oral presentations.

Qualifications

• Two years of program-specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems.
• Two of the five years of engineering experience on Combat Weapons Systems such as Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt or other Navy afloat systems; DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II/III certification when performing as ISSO/ISSE.
• Strong understanding of computer security, DoD cybersecurity policies, and clear communication in written and oral form.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
• Document systems from a cybersecurity perspective using Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio).
• Derive and document CONOPS for Mission Assurance per DoDI 8500.2.
• Research and recommend security solutions to prevent, detect, and enable accreditation.
• Apply DISA STIGs and DoD/NSA recommendations.
• Identify gaps between as-built specs, security requirements, and policies and propose compliant approaches.
• Author and revise cybersecurity requirements and system specifications.
• Perform vulnerability testing using manual methods and ACAS.
