Job summary

SimVentions seeks a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to join our on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. You will craft RMF A&A artifacts, perform continuous monitoring, and conduct system testing to secure advanced DoD systems.

The role requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, with 2–5 years of relevant naval/DoD security engineering experience and DoD policy knowledge. Expect a rigorous, mission-driven environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Two (2) years of security engineering experience on Navy afloat/tactical systems or five (5) years general security engineering experience.
• Understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies for land-based and afloat/tactical systems; ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
• Document a system from a cyber security perspective using MS Word, Excel, Visio and related tools.
• Apply STIGs and DISA/NIST guidance to systems to achieve certification and accreditation.
• Lead ISSO duties and coordinate risk assessments and mitigation activities.
• Perform vulnerability testing using manual techniques, ACAS, and related security tooling.
