TEKsystems is seeking a detail-oriented Credentialing Coordinator for a high-volume healthcare credentialing department in a hospital setting. The role supports initial and recredentialing efforts, maintains records, and ensures regulatory compliance on a fully onsite basis in Mission Hills, CA.

The ideal candidate has recent credentialing experience, is proficient with MD-Staff software, and can manage a high-volume workload with accuracy, professionalism, and collaboration within the team.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of credentialing experience in healthcare.
• Experience with MD-Staff credentialing software.
• Ability to handle 80+ credentialing applications per month.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Process initial credentialing and recredentialing applications.
• Perform primary source verification of licenses, board certifications, education, and affiliations.
• Maintain physician, practitioner, facility, and credentialing verification files.
• Manage credentialing databases, reports, correspondence, and provider directory updates.
• Support credentialing committees with meeting preparation and minutes.
• Monitor licensing actions and conduct follow-up research.
• Assist with ongoing monitoring programs and expiring document tracking.
• Coordinate health plan notifications for newly credentialed providers.
• Perform credentialing file audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist with annual health plan audits and accreditation reviews.
• Reconcile internal and external provider rosters.
• Prepare reports for credentialing committees and leadership.
• Collaborate on quality, compliance, and risk management concerns.
