Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Safety Coordinator to safeguard the health and well-being of thousands of workers across active jobsites. You will implement safety policies, manage jobsite risk, and drive Clark’s Culture of Care, collaborating with senior leaders and field supervision on complex safety matters.

You will enforce safety standards, promote a strong safety culture, and coordinate with third parties such as OSHA.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree or master's in occupational health and safety, construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Expected graduation in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Passion and interest in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing corporate and project-specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state, and local safety standards
• Promote a positive safety culture through coaching and educating Clark employees and trade contractors on occupational health and safety requirements
• Develop and implement project-specific safety program
• Identify potential hazards and provide input, advice, and direction to mitigate hazardous conditions and assure compliance
• Conduct site-walks and report project-specific safety performance and future plans
• Working closely with field supervision to plan complex safety aspects of the project construction, including critical lifts, hazardous material handling, fire prevention, and evacuation
• Coordinating third-party safety reviews, including OSHA

Education

Undergraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety

Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety / Construction Management / Engineering
