Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Safety Coordinator to safeguard the health and well-being of thousands of workers across our jobsites. You will work with senior leaders to execute safety policies, manage jobsite risk, and drive Clark’s Culture of Care.

The role involves enforcing safety programs, promoting a positive safety culture, developing project-specific safety plans, identifying hazards, conducting site walks, coordinating with field supervision on lifts and hazardous materials

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) or a master's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Passion and interest in the construction industry.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 trained, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing corporate and project-specific safety and health programs and standards.
• Promote a positive safety culture through coaching and educating Clark employees and trade contractors on health and safety requirements.
• Develop and implement project-specific safety programs.
• Identify potential hazards and provide input to mitigate conditions and ensure compliance.
• Conduct site-walks and report on safety performance and future plans.
• Collaborate with field supervision to plan complex safety aspects of projects (lifts, hazardous materials handling, fire prevention, evacuation).
• Coordinate third-party safety reviews, including OSHA.
