Job summary

Clark Construction Group seeks a Safety Coordinator to safeguard the health and well‑being of workers across our job sites. You will work with site leaders to implement safety policies, manage risk, and advance Clark’s Culture of Care.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety programs, coaching crews, developing project‑specific safety plans, identifying hazards, conducting site walks, and coordinating third‑party reviews. This active, hands‑on role requires staying vigilant on active sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) or a master's in occupational health and safety, construction management, engineering, or a related field, with expected graduation Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training is preferred.
• Demonstrated passion and interest in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Implementing safe working practices and ensuring the well‑being of everyone is a core value of Clark.
• Assist in the administration of Clark’s Safety, Health, and Environmental program to ensure a safe environment for employees and contractors.
• Enforce corporate and project‑specific safety and health programs and local, state, and federal standards.
• Coach and educate Clark employees and trade contractors on health and safety requirements.
• Develop and implement project‑specific safety programs.
• Identify hazards and provide input to mitigate conditions and ensure compliance.
• Conduct site walks and report safety performance and future plans.
• Work with field supervision to plan complex safety aspects, including lifts, hazardous materials handling, fire prevention, and evacuation.
• Coordinate third‑party safety reviews, including OSHA Basic Qualifications.

Education
