Job summary

Alterman, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to promote a safe work environment across active construction sites in Texas. You will ensure OSHA compliance, implement site safety plans, conduct training, and perform site visits in collaboration with the Sr.

Safety Manager and project teams. Key duties include incident investigation, maintaining OSHA records, updating safety policies, and supporting safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years in the construction industry focused on safety, health, or environmental protection.
• Electrical construction industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Trainings, site visits, and hazard control: lead safety trainings and toolbox talks; support project supervisors to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Maintain current OSHA knowledge; update and enforce company safety policies across all sites.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and prepare detailed reports; review findings with leadership.
• Recordkeeping and documentation of OSHA records; ensure required documentation is retained.
• Perform other duties as assigned and support safety incentive programs when applicable.
