Job summary

Securus Safety Solutions seeks an on-site safety lead for a construction project in Texas. You will drive proactive risk management and ensure full OSHA construction standard compliance and adherence to site-specific safety protocols.

Responsibilities include implementing and enforcing the Project Safety Management Plan, conducting field inspections and audits, leading incident investigations, toolbox talks, and weekly meetings, and reviewing JHAs and permits while coordinating with owners,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 consecutive years dedicated solely to building construction safety experience required.
• A 4-year degree in a construction safety discipline with at least 1 year of field experience in building construction safety.
• OSHA 510, OSHA 500, or OSHA 502 certification required and must be current within 5 years.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site safety management and proactive risk controls.
• Conduct daily field inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits.
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Support safety orientations, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetings.
• Review JHAs, permits, and subcontractor safety documentation.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as excavation, confined space entry, crane operations, electrical work, and fall protection.
• Maintain project safety documentation, records, and reporting requirements.
