Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Construction Site Superintendent at Shaw AFB, SC to serve as the primary point of contact for quality on the job site, supervise field contractors, coordinate inspections, and generate daily reports.

You will work under the Program Manager, ensure compliance with Fed Gov/DOD quality standards, uphold safety policies, read blueprints, and maintain professional image while delivering high‑quality results on demanding government projects.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience with a related degree or 12 years applicable experience in federal government construction, including leadership role as a Quality Control Officer/Specialist.
• Working knowledge of performing quality control activities on multiple projects concurrently.
• OSHA Safety training, (30 hour) – Required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Comply with company Motor Vehicle Policy.
• Able to present professional image at all times.
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) a MUST.
• Ability to communicate directly with the Fed Gov Quality POC.
• Knowledge in construction methods and materials.
• Knowledge of all construction divisions 1-48.
• Ability to read blueprints and provide applicable edits.
• Knowledge of Fed Gov/DOD Quality Reporting Systems (QCS/RMS).
• Hands on attitude with field work.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Work is performed outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and uneven terrain.

Responsibilities

• Creating, collecting, and completing daily reports.
• Set an example on-site regarding quality and safety policies and project specific procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
