Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant construction quality experience.
• At least five years in a quality leadership role on complex projects (QC Manager/Site Quality Manager).
• Experience implementing project quality plans and three-phase control process on regulated construction projects.
• Current CQM-C certification or ability to obtain within contract timeframe.
• Working knowledge of federal construction quality reporting systems (QCS/RMS) or similar client systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and maintain the Construction Quality Control Plan and procedures.
• Serve as primary contact for site quality issues with client representatives and stakeholders.
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and escalation paths for project team and subcontractors.
• Plan, lead, and document the three-phase control process for each definable feature of work.
• Review documents to verify field work complies with requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, tests, mockups, sampling, and commissioning activities.
• Verify materials/equipment conform to submittals and contract requirements.
• Observe construction activities and verify workmanship and acceptance criteria.
• Identify nonconforming work and manage deficiency documentation and corrective actions.
• Exercise stop-work/reject authority as needed to maintain quality.
• Ensure subcontractors/suppliers comply with QC Plan and documentation standards.
• Prepare daily QC reports, inspection records, test reports, minutes, logs, and correspondence.
• Maintain current quality records in required systems and ensure audit readiness.
• Review subcontractor quality documentation and closeout submissions.
• Collaborate with Project Manager on planning, sequencing, and safety interfaces.
• Participate in preconstruction planning, design reviews, and coordination meetings.
• Support commissioning, turnover, and as-built documentation; warranties and training records.
• Provide quality leadership and promote defect prevention over final inspection.
