Job summary

Next 150 Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilbane, seeks a Construction Project Manager II to serve as the on-site project manager for multiple projects across the Midwest. You will supervise project staff, mentor engineers and superintendents, and play a central role in schedule, budget, safety and quality on site.

You will operate daily on the job site, coordinating with architects, subcontractors and the client, driving constructability reviews, cost control and timely reporting,

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5–10 years of commercial construction project management experience on projects valued at $50 million or larger.
• Data center or highly complex construction project experience highly preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environment.
• Manage the project using established project controls and procedures.
• Perform constructability and coordination reviews.
• Communicate with construction manager, architects and subcontractors about risk, timetables, costs/budgets and change management.
• Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling, estimating and cost control.
• Prepare monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow for internal/external use.
• Provide jobsite leadership in safety and quality.
• Prepare contingency plans for potential risks and expand contractual services and project profit.
• Work with accounting to prepare and review billing.
• Attend jobsite coordination meetings.
• Collaborate with equipment planner and field crew for material planning.
• Coordinate with field and labor crews on planning and projections.
