Job summary

Gilbane Building Company, through Next 150 Construction, seeks a Project Manager to serve as on-site leader on a Next 150 project. You will supervise project staff and coordinate with engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors daily on-site to drive scope, schedule, and budget.

You will mentor staff, communicate progress, and apply industry insights to optimize project outcomes while upholding Gilbane’s values and standards.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 3–10+ years PM experience on projects $50M+.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environment.
• Manage the project using established project controls and procedures.
• Perform constructability and coordination reviews.
• Communicate with construction manager, architects and subcontractors regarding risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management.
• Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling, estimating and cost control.
• Prepare monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow, etc.
• Provide jobsite leadership in safety and quality.
• Prepare contingency plans for risks and expanded contractual services and project profit.
• Work closely with accounting to prepare and review billing.
• Attend jobsite coordination meetings.
• Work closely with onsite equipment planner and field crew for planning and projections.
• Work closely with field and labor crew on project planning and projections.
