Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Engineer for the 2027 Futures Program. The role is on-site, designed for graduates, Veterans, and others passionate about advancing in construction leadership.

The program includes immersive training, mentorship, and a fast track to promotion as an assistant-level project manager or superintendent. The role focuses on hands-on learning, site shadowing, and development topics with a clear progression through four phases and

Qualifications

High school diploma? (not applicable for this role)
Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business strongly preferred.
Military experience considered as relevant background.
Prior experience on commercial job sites is advantageous.
Ability to learn sector-specific software such as ProCore, JD Edwards, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

Shadow project team on day‑to‑day operations during the 12‑month program.
Participate in performance reviews every 4 months to track learning and development.
Maintain jobsite records, schedules, logs, and submittals.
Assist in cost awareness and budgeting tasks for assigned projects.
Support Project Managers with logistics, client communication, and safety compliance.
Prepare for promotion to assistant superintendent or assistant project manager after training.
