Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Construction Engineering Project Engineer to plan, develop, and manage onsite engineering activities for large projects. You will focus on schedule, budget, quality control, and constructability reviews.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field and have 4+ years of construction estimating support or field experience. A collaborative team player is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and specialized software like AGTEK Take-off and Primavera Scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes and standards, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate and manage onsite construction engineering activities to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
• Manage job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule and job costing.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to complete work on time and under budget.
• Oversee project engineering assignments to meet deadlines and budget targets.
• Provide technical support in planning, quality control, design interpretation, and constructability reviews.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and controlling documents.
• Represent company during client and project management meetings to ensure clear communication.
• Develop and maintain all job reporting and logs for project compliance.
• Supervise, direct, and mentor project staff to ensure development and adherence to standards.
