Job summary

Henderson Group seeks a Project Manager for its construction division in New York City. The PM will oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality and regulatory compliance from concept through completion.

Reporting to the Project Executive, you will lead preconstruction tasks, manage budgets and change orders, and maintain safety standards in a fast-paced urban environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5–10 years field experience as a Project Manager with an established construction firm.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specs; generate scope requirements from plans and specs.
• Experience in budgeting, schedules, and contract management; ensures insurance/compliance as required.
• Knowledge of construction drawings/specifications and MEPS bids is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Chart project objectives and plans; set performance requirements and select participants.
• Oversee construction from design through completion in all phases.
• Lead preconstruction tasks: reading plans, developing scopes, interviewing and contractor qualification.
