Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for a construction division in New York, NY on-site. The PM will oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, and controls across all project phases, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards.

Reporting to the Project Executive, you will coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders, manage contracts and RFIs, and deliver timely financial reporting and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or technical training; 5–10 years PM field experience.
• Solid conceptual estimating experience within construction (commercial/multi-family).
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specs; extract scope from drawings.
• Ensure insurance compliance and engage legal/insurance managers as needed.
• Read drawings to support design/engineering teams and ensure constructability.
• Demonstrates strategic thinking, problem solving, and timely decision making.
• Builds relationships and effective communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead project objectives and plans; set performance requirements and select participants.
• Oversee construction from design through completion with quality control.
• Develop early budgets and schedules; track expenses and manage risks.
• Process contracts, change orders, and payment requisitions; provide financial reporting.
• Ensure site safety plans; inspect jobsites and address deficiencies with subs.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and laborers.
• Monitor progress; hold status meetings and review client deliverables.
