Job summary

Actalent seeks a Construction Manager for an onsite role in Grandview, MO, overseeing construction and maintenance work per contract while monitoring costs and district performance. The role requires travel readiness and frequent site staffing to ensure project execution aligns with client expectations.

You will manage P&L for your district, drive safety and ethics, collaborate with customers, vendors, and unions, and develop talent within your team to deliver customer-focused results.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant construction and project experience.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership abilities.
• Ability to influence at all levels.
• Attention to detail and organization, onsite presence and travel willingness.
• Experience with industrial boilers and multi-site projects.

Responsibilities

• Understands and communicates contract terms and conditions.
• Monitors project change management issues.
• Identifies and targets future bid opportunities.
• Manages project P&L within the district.
• Oversees, reviews and approves project execution.
• Staffs project sites frequently.
• Oversees large service/outage project performance.
• Advises on issues and maintains governance per company policies.
• Develops and manages talent within area of responsibility.
• Represents the organization on labor and union issues.
