Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies seeks a Construction Manager for the Overland Park, KS project. You will coordinate on-site supervision, manage CPM-aligned schedules, budgets, and quality, and mentor on-site superintendents.

You will drive safety standards, lead weekly subcontractor meetings, and ensure smooth handover to startup teams. A Bachelor’s degree and extensive construction supervision experience are required, with OSHA training preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field preferred, or relevant field experience.
• 18+ years construction supervisory experience required, with at least 5 years of previous construction manager experience.
• OSHA Training.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records) in compliance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site subcontractor or direct hire superintendent activities to meet CPM schedule.
• Direct subcontractor schedule recovery plans and perform handovers for startup packages.
• Monitor safety, quality, budget, and schedule; manage change and reports to Project Field Manager.
• Lead safety discussions, drive continuous improvement, and oversee construction punchlist completion.
