Job summary

Black & Veatch Construction, Inc. (BVCI) seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent in Overland Park to coordinate on-site activities, enforce safety, and ensure schedule compliance.

You will mentor on-site staff, manage subcontractors, and drive project controls in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in construction/engineering, OSHA training, and 18+ years of supervisory experience with at least 5 years as a construction manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field preferred.
• OSHA Training or equivalent certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all on-site subcontractor or direct hire superintendent activities to ensure CPM schedule adherence.
• Monitor safety, quality, and cost; report progress to Project Field Manager and Field Project Controls Manager.
• Direct subcontractor and supplier coordination, weekly meetings, and handover of startup packages to Startup Manager.
