Job summary

Black & Veatch in Overland Park, KS seeks a Quality Control Lead to implement and maintain project quality plans across sites. You will interface with site teams, procurement inspections, and clients to ensure work meets codes and specs.

The role manages site QC staff, reviews testing and documentation, and supports turnover to startup. A related degree or craft apprenticeship with QA certifications is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction supervision experience with degree, or 5+ years without.
• All applicants must pass pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search).
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; related certifications appreciated.
• Engineering/Quality/Construction Management degree or craft apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, implements and maintains site quality program.
• Coordinates with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, regulatory representatives and field teams to ensure work is done correctly the first time.
• Ensures on-site work meets applicable codes and specifications.
• Surveillance/Audits of site Contractor Quality Control Programs.
• Reviews turnover packages prior to handoff to Startup.
• Assists in coordinating punchlist walkdowns/inspections; manages the punchlist.
