Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Site Manager for our Overland Park-based operations, with mobilization to project sites as needed. You will lead the construction and startup of complex power projects, directing staff, coordinating with the owner, and enforcing safety and quality standards.

The role requires a strong background in construction management, union experience preferred, and a commitment to Lean processes, continuous improvement, and teamwork in a challenging, ESOP‑owned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years experience on similar projects in construction management, including 3 years as Site Manager.
• No degree required with 15+ years experience, including 5+ years in construction management on smaller projects or 3 years as Site Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead successful execution of construction and start-up of the project.
• Direct site staff and lead the daily/weekly planning process.
• Implement CPPM and manage deviations when needed.
• Manage project cost to meet budgets and report monthly on budget and schedule.
• Direct change order management and coordination with owner.
• Mentor site staff and promote teamwork and safety.
