Job summary

Monadnock Construction, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to assist the Superintendent and project team in managing subcontractors and vendors on a New York construction site.

You will help ensure the project is on time, within budget, and meets quality and safety standards. The role involves coordinating daily site activities, scheduling work, maintaining delivery calendars, and supporting safety and documentation efforts.

Qualifications

• Assist in coordinating and overseeing daily activities on the construction site.
• Assist with scheduling of work and meeting milestones.
• Assist with maintaining and updating the delivery calendar.
• Help coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Assist in resolving conflicts during the construction process.
• Perform pre-sheetrock inspections and address defects or deviations.
• Check deliveries against submittals and track punch lists.
• Assist Safety team with site safety protocols and incident reporting.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including logs and photos.
• Seek DOB-approved courses and certifications for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily site activities with subcontractor foremen and workers.
• Support scheduling to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Maintain and update delivery calendar in sync with cycle schedules.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants for smooth workflow.
• Help resolve conflicts arising on site during construction.
• Conduct pre-sheetrock inspections to ensure quality and address issues.
• Verify deliveries against submittals and manage punch lists through to handover.
• Support safety team with on-site checks and incidents reporting.
