Job summary

Monadnock Construction, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to assist the Superintendent and project team in managing subcontractors and vendors, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality and safety standards.

The role emphasizes project coordination, quality control, safety compliance, and thorough documentation. Candidates typically have 1–3 years of GC/Engineering experience and a construction-related degree, with a salary range of $70,000–$95,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years’ prior experience with a General Contractor, Engineering firm or similar role within the industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily site activities with subcontractor foremen.
• Assist with scheduling to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Maintain and update the delivery calendar with cycle schedule and release dates.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants for smooth project flow.
• Resolve conflicts and issues during construction.
• Conduct pre-sheetrock inspections to identify deficiencies and verify requirements.
• Assist with project mockups to meet quality standards.
• Check deliveries against approved submittals.
• Track punch list through to handover to the owner.
• Enforce safety protocols and report incidents on site.
• Maintain on-site safety binders and daily site checks.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including logs, progress reports, and photos.
