Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Project Engineer for a large, high- pressure industrial project in New York. You will support project controls, cost reporting, and field coordination on both office and active construction sites.

The role requires 2–5 years of construction experience, a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, and strong communication. You will work onsite in Clay/Syracuse area, with competitive benefits and a path toward contract-to-hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of construction project experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the change management process under the Project Manager.
• Participate in monthly cost report meetings for forecasting and financial decisions.
• Adhere to project controls procedures including monthly cost control and pay requests.
• Expedite material deliveries by coordinating with vendors and teams.
• Review shop drawings for compliance with contract documents and design intent.
• Support business development by identifying client needs and communicating value proposition.
• Review customer feedback to foster a customer-centric project culture.
• Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, change orders, submittals, and meeting minutes.
• Contribute to scheduling and budgeting with field/office input.
• Work on active construction sites coordinating with field staff and subcontractors.
