Job summary

1rti is seeking a Computer Repair Technician to provide onsite hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops, and servers. You will perform installs, moves, adds, and changes, plus test units and communicate progress to customers.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, assisting with parts and repairs, and maintaining daily system performance. Travel and varying shifts may be required; valid driver’s license and background check clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A+, Cisco, and HP certifications highly desired.
• Ability to travel when required.
• 1 year in field service support role for hardware and networking preferred.
• Sense of urgency and strong organizational skills.
• Must be available for varying shifts and maintain reliable attendance.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and drive as needed.
• Able to climb ladders and work at heights as required.
• Must pass drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops, and servers.
• Perform installs, moves, adds, and changes; test and inspect hardware.
• Communicate repair steps, parts, and estimated completion time to customers.
• Provide technical assistance for computer systems and hardware issues.
• Respond to customer emails seeking support.
• Run diagnostics and maintain daily system performance.
• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
• Prioritize and review work orders for daily scheduling.
• Develop working knowledge of operating standards and procedures.
• Perform inventory management and related duties.
