Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee the daily operations and financial functions of a housing community under the supervision of the Community Manager. You will supervise onsite staff, manage delinquency, and ensure compliance with policies, safety and fair housing guidelines.

You will post payments, reconcile receivables, assist with budgeted revenues, post charges, perform month-end close, maintain records, and ensure resident satisfaction and proper lease

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years’ housing industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post all payments and income from applicants, residents, and others accurately and timely.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt, send late notices, contact residents; file evictions as needed.
• Assist in meeting budgeted revenues, expenses and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident accounts; bill back utilities where applicable.
• Perform end-of-month close and reporting; maintain organized records.
• Inspect properties, supervise staff, ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support leasing activities, screening, training, and staff development.
