Job summary

Asset Living, a nationwide property management partner, is hiring an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial duties of the housing community under the Community Manager and onsite leadership.

You will supervise staff, handle rent collection and accounts receivable, manage leasing, conduct property inspections, and ensure compliance with policies, safety and Fair Housing Laws, OSHA requirements; strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Posting all payments and income received from all applicants, current residents, and non-current residents accurately, timely, and efficiently.
• Processing and reconciling daily all account receivables.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt to include preparation of late notices, resident and guarantor contact, and filing evictions.
• End-of-the-month closing procedures and reporting.

Education
