Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Community Manager to oversee the operations of a housing community on-site under the supervision of the Regional Manager. You will manage personnel, leasing, maintenance, finance, and risk management, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety and fair housing guidelines.

As an on-site leader, you will supervise staff, develop budgets, manage leasing and marketing plans, and coordinate maintenance with a focus on resident satisfaction and NOI improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or four years experience in the housing industry, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff using company directives.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and guidance to staff per Asset training benchmarks.
• Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts.
• Monitor deposits, rent collections, and charges; ensure timely submissions.
• Monitor vendor invoices and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Strategic Leasing Management
• Develop yearly marketing plan and execute marketing strategies and systems.
• Show, lease, and move in prospective residents.
• Head emergency team for the property and manage on-call emergencies.
• Maintain property appearance and ensure timely repairs and inspections.
• Plan resources and obtain bids from vendors and contractors.
