Job summary

Greystar is seeking an on-site Community Financial Operations Assistant to support the Community Manager by handling accounting tasks, preparing monthly close-outs, processing invoices, and collecting rent. You will use Yardi/OneSite to record financials and help maintain lease compliance and revenue through effective delinquency management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience in residence life and/or property management that demonstrates the application of community management, sales, marketing, and customer service background.
• Understanding of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Collects rent, fees, and other payments and posts them to ledgers.
• Operates Yardi/OneSite and ensures data integrity.
• Reviews resident accounts for unpaid or late balances and pursues delinquencies.
• Processes vendor invoices and manages payments and chart codes.
• Conducts evictions per policy and assists in court proceedings when needed.
• Manages move-outs, deposits, and lease-terminations per procedures.
• Responds to resident inquiries to resolve issues and improve retention.
• Acts as on-site supervisor in the manager’s absence and coordinates maintenance tasks.
• Gathers information for leasing and marketing and assists with applications and credit checks.
