Job summary

CMC Associa is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee a condominium community in Fairfax, VA. The onsite role manages office, administrative, and maintenance projects, including capital improvements, and serves as the liaison among homeowners, the Board, committees, management staff, and vendors.

Responsibilities include enforcing board policy, inspecting the community, issuing violations, budgeting, monitoring financial reports, coordinating RFPs and capital projects, scheduling work

Qualifications

• 2+ years of community association experience.
• Willingness to obtain CMCA, AMS, or PCAM (company paid).
• Customer service oriented and team player.
• Proactive with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret financials and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Implement Board policy and directives within the management agreement.
• Walk and inspect the community and ensure maintenance and compliance with Codes and Rules.
• Issue violation notices to homeowners and follow up for corrections.
• Meet and greet homeowners, board members, and vendors.
• Research inquiries in person, by phone, and email.
• Data entry and updating information in the database; record and track documents.
• Create and manage budgets; review Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
• Submit RFPs, manage bidding and vendor selection, develop vendor relationships.
• Prioritize maintenance requests and coordinate vendors for on-site work.
• Prepare board packages and coordinate monthly/annual meetings.
• Create and send weekly communications to homeowners about maintenance and events.
• Assist homeowners with architectural review forms and follow-up decisions.
