Clark College seeks an experienced Superintendent – Commercial Construction to lead field operations in Central Michigan. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage daily site activities, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence from mobilization through closeout.

The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in commercial construction, strong communication, and the ability to drive jobs to completion on time and within scope. Based in Central Michigan with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and process development skills with effective workflows.

Responsibilities

• Subcontractor coordination to align work with plans, specs, and schedule.
• Plan field priorities, develop execution strategies, and maintain look-ahead schedules.
• Direct day-to-day site activities, managing labor, vendors, and craft teams.
• Enforce safety standards and company policies on site.
• Monitor work for safety and quality, addressing deviations promptly.
• Maintain daily reports, quality inspections, and material logs.
• Review subcontractor pay apps and change orders for budget impact.
• Lead or participate in site meetings to share progress.
