Clark College seeks an experienced Superintendent – Commercial Construction to oversee field operations in Southeast Michigan. You will work with the Project Manager to lead day-to-day on-site activities, coordinating trade contractors, and ensuring work progresses safely and to high quality.

Ideal candidate has a strong commercial construction background, proven record delivering projects on time and within scope, with expertise in scheduling, sequencing, and site coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong organizational skills with experience implementing workflows.
• Solid understanding of construction operations and scheduling.
• Proficiency in data tools and project software (MS Office, Excel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Subcontractor coordination across field to align with plans and schedule.
• Lead day-to-day site activities, manage labor, vendors, and craft staff.
• Develop execution strategies and maintain look-ahead schedules.
• Enforce safety standards and company policies on site.
• Maintain records, quality inspections, and change notices.
• Communicate progress with owners and stakeholders.
• Monitor material delivery and on-site storage and handling.
