Job summary

RTX is seeking students for internships/co-ops and future full-time roles in Cedar Rapids to design, develop and test software features for distributed systems used in helicopters and airplanes.

Join a collaborative team of systems and software engineers, while building skills in requirements, integration, and flight-management software. Domestic/international travel is possible, with onsite work at RTX facilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with C, C++, ADA, and/or Python is preferred.
• Pilot/Avionics experience (e.g. Private Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance, DO-178 Certification) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software features for software solutions integrated into helicopters and planes.
• Collaborate with Systems and Software engineers to ensure high-quality, timely products for internal and external customers.
• Travel domestically and internationally (<10%) as needed.
