Job summary

Energy Project Solutions (EPS) is seeking a Civil Engineer with strong site development experience to support utility-scale renewable projects, including solar, BESS, and wind. You will lead onsite oversight of grading, roads, foundations, and drainage while coordinating with EPCs, contractors, and stakeholders.

This full-time, on-site role requires travel to project sites across the United States and a background in QA/QC, documentation, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Experienced construction professional with civil engineering background and familiarity with solar, BESS, or wind projects.
• Skilled at coordinating multiple trades and managing civil scopes including grading, earthwork, foundations, and drainage.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Adobe, and scheduling tools.
• Able to pass a background check, motor vehicle screening, and pre-employment drug test.
• Willing and able to travel to project sites across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day onsite oversight of grading, roads, foundations, drainage, and other civil construction activities.
• Oversee survey and earthwork activities to ensure accuracy and alignment with project plans and specifications.
• Ensure civil and structural quality through inspections, QA/QC efforts, and compliance with project specifications.
• Oversee civil subcontractors, coordinating schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule.
• Monitor delivery, staging, and tracking of Owner Supplied Equipment and civil materials onsite.
• Manage civil NCRs and corrective actions, including root cause analysis and resolution tracking.
• Support inspections, punch walks, permit closeouts, and compliance activities.
• Conduct regular site walks to monitor installation progress, identify potential issues, and help keep projects on schedule.
• Review work plans, construction methods, safety procedures, and schedules for civil and general construction activities.
• Maintain accurate project documentation related to site conditions, inspections, field decisions, and project progress.
• Serve as EPS's onsite representative while building strong working relationships with clients, utilities, AHJs, EPCs, contractors, and community stakeholders.
• Support team development by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior field staff, and contributing to operational improvement efforts.
