Job summary

Energy Project Solutions (EPS) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong onsite installation experience to support utility-scale renewable projects including solar, BESS, and wind. You will lead onsite oversight of pile driving, tracker installation, module placement, inverters, and BESS mechanical systems, ensuring work aligns with plans and specifications while supporting QA/QC and safety.

This full-time, onsite role requires travel to project sites across the United States and interactions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience with solar, BESS, or wind projects is desirable.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage mechanical scopes on-site.
• Proactive, takes ownership and supports project needs beyond assigned tasks.
• Strong communication with EPC partners, OEMs, utilities, and teams.
• Excellent in documenting meetings, decisions and site changes.
• Eligible to pass background check, driving record screening, and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day onsite oversight of installation of piles, trackers, modules, inverters, and BESS mechanical systems.
• Coordinate delivery, staging, and tracking of Owner Supplied Equipment and materials.
• Ensure QA/QC of mechanical installation per project specs.
• Interface with OEMs and commissioning teams to resolve issues and support startup.
• Manage NCRs and corrective actions with root-cause analysis.
• Track testing and turnover documentation for mechanical completion.
• Review work plans, methods, safety procedures, and schedules.
• Support inspections, punch walks, permits, and compliance activities.
• Maintain accurate project documentation on site conditions and progress.
• Represent EPS onsite, building relationships with clients, utilities, AHJs, EPCs, contractors, and stakeholders.
