Job summary

Mechanics Bank in California seeks a Branch Services Manager to oversee day-to-day branch operations and lead a team in-person. This on-site role focuses on cash management, security, risk controls and delivering outstanding customer service while achieving branch goals.

You will hire, train, coach, and develop staff, schedule routing, supervise teller operations, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of banking experience with an emphasis in operations.
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
• Notary license preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; successful experience managing and leading people.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee branch operations and staffing, including scheduling and budgeting.
• Lead daily huddles and branch meetings; coach staff and conduct performance reviews.
• Manage teller line, cash handling, and security procedures; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and execute strategies to retain customers and achieve branch goals.
• Assist customers with complex account issues and provide exceptional service.
