Job summary

MSC USA - Boston is seeking a Billing Representative to provide on‑site accounts receivable support. You will process customer payments, respond to inquiries, and generate AR reports to ensure timely container releases.

The role requires meticulous data entry, attention to detail, and strong teamwork in a fast‑paced logistics environment. On‑site duties are required five days a week, with a comprehensive benefits package including health and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role (supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.)
• English: advanced
• Attention to detail: Must have
• Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively
• Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Great team player
• Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software

Responsibilities

• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Replies to customers’ questions regarding the payments they made and makes corrections in the MSC systems if necessary.
• Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
• Research customer discrepancies and past‑due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff.
• Collaborates with the Collections Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis.
• Maintains and updates customer files.
