Job summary

Career Team is seeking an Adult and Dislocated Bilingual Career Advisor in Ohio to provide career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services onsite under the Project Director. This role focuses on intake/eligibility, evaluating job seekers’ needs, and guiding development of individualized employment plans.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) with roughly 5+ years in operations, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in operations.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions.
• Must be computer literate and have MS Word and Excel skills at minimum.
• Ability to work in diverse settings with a culturally diverse customer base.
• Ability to meet/exceed goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and case management services to the community.
• Complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce program.
• Assess jobseekers’ employment and training needs and abilities through interviewing and testing.
• Serve as a liaison between workforce development programs and community partners.
• Enter data into client information systems and required databases.
• Develop Individual Employment Plans (IEP) for customers.
• Guide job seekers through preparation of employment plans based on goals.
• Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services.
• Refer individuals to appropriate services and follow up on activities.
• Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and job clubs for clients.
• Maintain compliant case files with required eligibility documents.
• Meet or exceed program benchmarks and participate in staff events.
• Complete all required reports.
