Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a Controls Technician II to install, program, and service commercial building digital control systems in Knoxville, TN. You will work onsite, troubleshoot BAS, and support HVAC technicians with control sequences and retrofits.

Role involves commissioning, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and ongoing training to maintain certifications and safety standards. A driver’s license and OSHA 10 completion are required or provided during onboarding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Technical training and 3+ years of relevant experience are required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (training provided during onboarding).

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive, professional customer service to build long-term relationships.
• Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and modifications as requested.
• Maintain BAS by inspecting logs, schedules, hardware, and programming.
• Support HVAC technicians with controls expertise.
• Create and implement programming and graphics for installations and retrofits.
• Commission control installations and verify sequences meet specs.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and other required data promptly.
• Train customers and explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in regional training and maintain required certifications.
