Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a full-time Controls Technician II in Montgomery, AL, to install, program, and service commercial BAS equipment, including Daikin and third-party systems. The role is onsite, with growth through hands-on exposure and regional training.

Responsibilities include diagnosing systems, commissioning installations, supporting HVAC technicians, and maintaining safety and documentation. Competitive benefits and ongoing certification support are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical training and 3+ years of equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive customer service and build long-term relationships
• Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems
• Perform preventive maintenance, commissioning, and modifications as requested
• Maintain BAS by reviewing logs, reports, and programming
• Support HVAC technicians with controls expertise
• Create/modify programming and graphics for installations and retrofits
• Commission controls installations and verify control sequences per design
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and reports timely
• Communicate status to customers and train them on technical details
• Pursue available Daikin Training and maintain certifications
• Ensure clean work areas and comply with safety policies
