Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a skilled Controls Technician II in Tampa, FL. You will install, program, and service commercial building digital control systems onsite.

Responsibilities include diagnosing VAV/DA systems, performing preventive maintenance, and delivering customer-ready BAS solutions. You will train and certify on Daikin and third-party controls, support HVAC teams, and ensure safety policies are followed while maintaining clean work areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as needed.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire; training provided on onboarding.
• Current first aid/ CPR card.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive and professional customer service to build long-term relationships.
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and modifications for customers.
• Maintain BAS by inspecting trend logs, schedules, and programming.
• Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians.
• Create and implement programming and graphics for installations and retrofits.
• Commission control installations and verify sequences meet design specifications.
• Document billing, timecards, and reports promptly.
