Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time Controls Technician II in Knoxville, TN, onsite. You will install, program, and service commercial building digital control systems, supporting HVAC technicians and ensuring control sequences meet design specifications.

The role emphasizes hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and continuous learning through regional trainings, with a strong focus on safety and professional customer communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical training and 3+ years of equivalent education/experience.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive and professional customer service to build long-term relationships.
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, commissioning, and retrofit modifications as needed.
• Maintain BAS by inspecting trend logs, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming.
• Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians.
• Create/implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects.
• Commission control installations and verify control sequences meet design/specifications.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and reports.
