Job summary

Velocity1 is seeking a Field Engineer to lead installations of AV, security, networking, and fiber systems at customer sites in the Southeast. You will install, configure, test, and commission complex setups and provide end-user training as needed.

The role demands strong communication, project leadership, and the ability to manage 1099 contractors while maintaining Velocity1 standards and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead AV, Security, Network, and Fiber installations on customer sites.
• Serve as onsite technical authority for designs and implementation.
• Configure, program, and commission systems (AV control, DSP, video routing, cameras, access control, network switches).
• Mentor Field Technicians and oversee 1099 contractors and third-party installers.
• Ensure safety, quality, and documentation; coordinate with PMs and vendors.
